September 13, 2020: Your September update!!

Hey Cruisers Family!

Fall is here - the weather has turned, the news is all about back to school and the days are getting shorter.  We hope you are all doing well and staying safe.  This month is a quick update about what is happening in the Cruisers community.

Return to Sport

Please continue to watch your emails for updates about getting you back on the court, ice, track, field and gym.  Work continues to progress slowly with the respective Provincial Sporting Organization (PSO), Public Health officials and the local facilities that support our sports.  As soon as there is more concrete information to share, it will be coming to you via email from either your coach or the club.  All of the latest information can also be found on the Cruisers website at:

Countdown to the Golf Tournament

This Friday, September 18th, Cruisers Sports will be holding our 21st Annual Golf Tournament at the Caledon Country Club (2121 Olde Baseline Road, Caledon ON).  This event is one of our largest fundraisers and we want to thank everyone in advance for helping to make it a success.  All funds raised go towards keeping our registration fees low.

If you are coming out to play golf with us, we look forward to seeing you there.  If you would still like to support this event please check out our silent auction (via Bid Beacon)  The silent auction is open for everyone until September 17th at 9pm.  Be sure to visit the site a few times as prizes will be added throughout the week. Prize pick up will be coordinated with Skotty Legassie after the event.

For more information on the golf tournament please visit our website or click on the following link:

Cruisers Classic Track and Field Meets

After postponement due to COVID-19, the Cruisers Classic Track and Field Meets are back this year on September 19th and October 3rd! For more information on the meets you can visit our website at or contact meet director Lisa Myers at

Social Media Coordinator Needed

Cruisers Sports is looking for 1-3 volunteers that can help support our social media efforts.  A lot has been done in recent years to establish a digital presence for our organization and we would like to share this project with some members from our community.  If you are interested, please send a note to and let us know why you are interested and what skills you have.

Say #ThanksCoach

The week of September 19th-27th is National Coaches week which celebrates the positive impact coaches have on athletes and their communities across Canada.  We encourage everyone to take a moment to send their coach a note of appreciation.  Take it one step further by putting your thoughts and/or pictures on social media and use the hashtag #ThanksCoach and #CruisersSports.

September 9, 2020: Silent Auction is now LIVE!

Hey Cruisers Family!

Everything is a little different this year, and the same is true for our Golf Tournament silent auction.

We are using Bid Beacon to host our Online Silent Auction. Feel free to view the auction items, and create an account to bid in our auction. There are great mobile apps for both iOS and Android, so you can keep up-to-date with your bids!
You can pay within the app, or pay on-site at the tournament.

Keep watching the auction page, as you never know what great item may get added!

You DO NOT have to be in attendance to participate in the auction.
If you are not attending the tournament, and win an item, please contact Skotty to arrange pickup.

The Silent Auction is NOW OPEN and will run until next Thursday (Sept. 17th). Items will be available to be picked up day of.
