August 28, 2018: Gala and Gala Silent Auction

Just a couple Gala reminders:


We are in need of donations!
We are again doing our very successful Silent Auction, and are looking for great items to auction off. We are also looking to increase our Kids' auction table, and are looking for items for that as well.

The 2018 Awards Gala will take place on SEPTEMBER 29th, with doors opening at 5pm, and dinner will be served promptly at 6pm.


We are at a whole new location this year - The Riviera Events & Convention Centre in Concord (2800 Hwy 7, Concord, ON L4K 1W8).

Tickets for members are free!
Adult guests are $65, children 10 & under are $25.
Tickets MUST be pre-purchased, and paid for online. Members must "purchase" their free ticket.

August 22, 2018: 2018-19 Registration Update

Hey Cruisers,

I'm excited to announce that we are launching a brand new registration process this year.

To help ensure accuracy of, and up-to-date information, as well as streamline the process of communicating with you, we will be launching our registration portal, powered by Wild Apricot.

The form only takes about 5 minutes to fill out, and includes medical information. The first year, everyone will have to take the time to fill out the form, but next year, and moving forward, the renewal process will be a simple review of information, and renew!

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
It means that we WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT PAPER registration packages. EVERY Cruisers member & coach will sign up online, PRIOR TO the start of the season. There is an option to pay online, but don't worry, we still take cash and cheques if you prefer. We will be at the first registration days with iPads to help sign you up, HOWEVER the process will go quicker if you sign up BEFOREHAND.


I HAVE TROUBLE WITH ONLINE FORMS!!
Don't worry; we'll be at each of the first registration days to help you through the process. WE DO however, recommend that you try to register before showing up, as this makes the process easy as pie!


EVERY MEMBER WILL NEED A UNIQUE EMAIL ADDRESS.
This is a limitation of Wild Apricot and there is nothing we can do. We have figured out some workarounds to help you out though: https://cruiserssports.wildapricot.org/emails


First-week Registration dates:

  • Sunday, Sept 16th - Mississauga Multisports
  • Monday, Sept 17th - Houseleague Basketball
  • Tuesday, Sept 18th - Brampton Multisports
  • Wednesday, Sept 19th - Sledge at Earnscliffe
  • Friday, Sept 21st - Competitive basketball
  • Saturday, Sept 22nd - Sledge at Iceland
  • Sunday, Sept 23rd - Sledge at Sixteen Mile


FEES:
The fees have stayed the same for Members as last year.
Our siblings/non-members are now called "Associate Members", and are equal in cost to what a Cruisers Member pays.


You can expect an email Labour Day weekend, as we launch the new software.

WE ARE IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS!!!

  1. Greeters - will confirm guests are registered and let them know what table they are sitting at. Volunteers will need to arrive at 5:00 and be available till approximately 6:15
  2. Raffle ticket sales - different raffle tickets will be sold throughout the night. Volunteers will sell tickets at the door while guests are arriving and during the evening before and after dinner.
  3. Silent auction - volunteers will help monitor the silent Auction area, direct winners to payment staff
  4. Coaches awards - athletes needed to present the coaches awards
