What do you like best about competing or playing sports?
The rush, the excitement, and the thrill of victory.
What sport do you play and how did you decide to do this sport?
Sledge Hockey, parents brought me to four rinks one day and I loved skating it ever since.
Who are your role models and why?
My wife Roseanne for showing me the greatness of love. My parents for always fighting for me no matter how challenging. My parent-in-laws for showing me that life can be slowed down, and my sister-in-law Sarah, for her determination in continuing to play soccer through many injuries that would cause others to give up.
What are your goals for the future?
Become stronger and faster, get promoted at work, go on a long distance vacation, move to an accessible townhouse, and have kids.
What else do you like to do in your spare time?
Play video games, watch TV, post comments on web sites, visit family.
What advice would you have for someone just starting in the sport that you are in?
Balance is key. You cannot do much if you fall over. If your balance sucks, fix or change your blades. Also, the longer the shaft of your sticks, the better. Get elbow pads that do not impede your arms from bending.
What is your favorite saying?
"To alcohol; the cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems." - Homer Simpson
What are your hobbies and interests besides sports?
Video games, talking online, watching TV, going to soccer and basketball games.
Other thoughts or comments:
If you try your hardest to live a regular life, you won't feel so bad that you can't do something. Try to get those who live regular lives to take advantage of evey opportunity, and don't pass up opportunities no matter how challenging. Don't blindly follow others. Play "The Game", but also be yourself. Most importantly, NEVER stop fighting for what you believe.
