Cruisers Sports for the Physically Disabled funding for the sports programs they offer comes from

1. Registration Fees paid by the athletes
2. Fundraising Events
3. Successful Grant Applications

These fundraising activities play an essential role in enriching our clubs ability to provide our athletes with the necessary equipment, court time and ice time to participate in the sports.  We gratefully acknowledge the generous, ongoing support of our many community friends whose contributions, both large and small, are valued and very much appreciated.

Cruisers Sports is quite proud that 100% of all funds raised go back into the programs we offer our athletes.

 

Donations:

Track Program:

• Racing Wheelchair $4000
• Spare Rim and Tire $450
• Racing Gloves $160

Sledge Hockey Program

• Sledge $700
• Sticks $60

Wheelchair Basketball Program

• Basketball Chair $3500
• Spare Wheels $200 each
• Basketballs $80

Field Program

• Tie Down Throwing Chair $1200
• Shot Put $200
• Javelin $200
• Discus $200

Boccia

• Competition Boccia Balls $400

Multisports Program

• Activities and Equipment $300

In addition to specialized equipment fundraising dollars also contribute to the renting of facilities for athletes to train and play, uniforms and referee costs for each sports program.

All of these programs offer the opportunity to a variety of athletes from ages from 3- over 50 as well as each athlete having specific and differing specialized equipment needs based upon effects of their disability and classifications for each sporting event.

• Golf Tournament in September
• Cruisers Cup International Sledge Hockey Tournament in November
• Blazing Hoops Wheelchair Basketball Tournament in February
• Track Field and Boccia Meet in May
• Awards Gala in May
• Additional Fundraising throughout the year

                                       
All Fundraising Events have corporate sponsorship packages available upon request or online closer to event date.

   • raffle prizes
   • silent auction tables
   • welcome packages for  event attendees ( e.g. athletes at the sledge hockey tourney)
2. Attending the Fundraising Events
3. Volunteering your time
